DOCP Calculator

This DOCP (Percorten-V) Dosage Calculator will tell you how much medication your dog needs based on her weight. This calculator is based on Novartis recommendations of a starting dose of 1mg per pound of body weight — the upper range shown here is based on that dose, while the lower range is based on other reports of what seems to work for some dogs. Testing for electrolytes is very important in deciding the starting dose. If you’re unsure, start with the Novartis recommended dose.

Note: One vial of Percorten-V (DOCP) has 4.0ml at 25mg/ml. Therefore, each vial has 100mg. For example, if your dose is 40 mg, that’s 40% of a vial, or 1.6 ml. mg.
